Description
Location: Kiama Downs Surf Club
This course supersedes HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid, this unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform an advanced first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council(ARC) guideline and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. You will also gain the skills and knowledge required to manage a first aid incident and other first aiders until advanced medical assistance or other assistance arrives.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide an advanced first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Delivery: Blended on line and face to face
Assessments: Candidates need to demonstrate skills in an environment that provides realistic in depth scenarios and simulations to assess candidate’s skills and knowledge.
