Professional Pool Lifeguard

Description

To assist lifeguards in planning for work as a Pool Lifeguard, Evolution Training Programs offers the Professional Pool Lifeguard Course.

This course is designed specifically for those that wish to gain industry skills to apply for the position of Pool Lifeguard.

Please Note: Pool lifeguards may need to obtain a “Pool Lifeguard License” from The Royal Lifesaving Society to gain employment. You will need to talk directly with your prospective employer to confirm this.

Our upcoming course is: SATURDAY 3 MAY 2025

To meet the requirements of this award all applicants will need to complete and be deemed competent in:

SISSS00133 – Pool Lifeguard (Skill Set)

HLTAID011 Provide first aid

SISCAQU019 Supervise clients in aquatic locations

SISCAQU020 Perform water rescues

SISCAQU021 Perform complex water rescues

SISCAQU022 Provide oxygen resuscitation and therapy in an aquatic environment

It is often desirable that applicants have or have the ability to obtain a spinal injury management certificate

Learning Pathway:

The training and assessment required to gain the above competencies (excluding first aid) will be face-to-face plus additional time devoted to reading and research.

HLTAID011 Provide first aid will need to be completed with either Evolution Training Programs  or another provider.

There are a number of options to consider when completing the Professional Pool Lifeguard Course and you are encouraged to contact our Team if you are unsure. The options are listed below:

OPTION A: Pool Lifeguard Skillset (Full Award) – $275.00

OPTION B: Pool Lifeguard Skillset (Full Award), INCLUDING Provide First Aid $430.00

(Students can attend any scheduled first aid course at Evolution Training Programs)

OPTION C: Pool Lifeguard Proficiency (Update) Only – $140.00
